How to increase memory in Mobile Phone

In last post you have seen many free mobile phone unlock codes. Now free tricks for mobile phone to Increase your mobile memory

By regularly checking the task manager you can make more free memory by closing the background application

Second method - Smart Launcher trick:

For smooth working of mobile phones it is needed to have more free memory and everyone like that mobile work smoothly.Soo and there are software available like smart launcher by which you can increase free memory in your mobile same you are doing with your computer.
First install smart launcher to your mobile and go to option.
Then setting and make launcher on. Now plug on your charger and switch of your phone.

Wait till it shows battery meter on screen and then press Menu button of your mobile don’t hold it just press for a while and release.

You can see Manu on screen and you can have 4 to 5MB free RAM
Hold Menu button to check RAM.

Trick behind this is that when charger plugged in, the phone must have a minimum software for charging your mobile, somehow Smart Launcher has still got its shortcut running and thats the Menu button appear. So when you click Menu button, you go directly to the Menu, no other phone tasks running in the background so you trick the phone and you have more free RAM!

Tablet PC is great in 2008!

If you follow Craig Pringles blog you may have seen an article titled "Now is the time for Tablets." Not only was the article very cleverly written but it did what all good articles should do, it inspired thought! Some of the famed responses were:

      • Warner, with Craig Pringle: Now Is The Time For Tablets
      • Then Layne with The Cosmic Forces of Mobility, which then caused Rob to:
      • The year of the tablet? Wrong question (GottaBeMobile)

While I didnt join in on the debate I did find the topic, and everyones input, rather intriguing. If you look at all the articles it isnt difficult to see that were actually all sharing one very important common thought, i.e. Tablet PC is on the rise and not vice versa.

Today I thought Id wade in on the debate as a friend decided to forward me a hardcopy of an article written in "The Australian," titled: "CIOs struggle to keep staff". While the article itself is of little consequence to the Tablet PC space it was interesting to note one omission from the online version of the article. When I received the attachment I found a small survey, conducted by IDC Australia, titled "Forecast For Management Survey 2006". As part of their finding IDC chose to look at Hot Technologies to 2008 of which the findings therein reminded me of the Pringle Affair... So what did IDC find?

      Hot Technologies to 2008/Forecast Growth

      • Voice and voice over IP: 179%
      • Tablet PCs: 87%
      • Sales force automation tools: 84%

As I perused the attachment, and looked back over Craigs article, I must admit that 2008 felt more representative of my conclusions, more so than 2006 does. Since the release of UMPC Ive fielded 10 - 4 0 phone calls per day on Ultra mobile PC (and therefore Tablet) as a productivity tool. Not only have I had to explain the idiosyncrasies of UMPC but more interestingly still Ive had to educate most of these callers primarily on what is Tablet.

Today were living in a world where the number one feature that makes callers’ pickup a telephone and enquire about UMPC is its size/processor ratio. While I too see UMPC as a great tool for software, wanting hardware, "bigger than a PDA and smaller than a laptop." What I find disconcerting about most callers is that too often they overlook the power of digital ink.

What Id like to do today is ask anyone considering UMPC to also consider the power of digital ink; we must always remember that the ability to take handwritten notes, therefore allowing them to be printable, emailable, shareable, erasable and editable, is also the ability to empower free thought. While most companies find it difficult to understand this concept (mostly because theyre focused on UMPCs’ size) I think the easiest way to describe this concept is by looking at the "additional comments" box found on most paper forms. Giving people the ability to ink additional thoughts, or diagrams, gives your software the power of free-speech. Never underestimate the ink!

So why do I think 2008, and not 2006?

I believe that between the time it takes a company to research the implementation of a new product, design/redesign software for it, roll it out, rework the software, re-rollout, rework and rollout again, we will definitely see ourselves stroll past 2007 and therefore well into 2008. Look at the EO and Samsung for example; the eo, with late deliveries on all orders, and the Samsung, still trying to decide where and who to sell to, are both prime examples of time rolling by. Were in late May 2006 and the key players are still the OEMs and the Software Developers. Until the key player in this space becomes the consumer the whole Tablet-thing won’t generate enough attention for anyone to deem it a success. Right now we’re in the hands of the Software Developers as they work on that one killer-app that will take UMPC from a clever idea, to a household/executive necessity.

My only advice would be to start sewing Tablet seeds now, because when 2008 rolls around it will be too late for anyone not already involved. Im cuddling and hugging lots of new Partners so that my 2008 end of year party can raise my champagne glass to Tablet, and not spend the night grumbling about it as another great idea that lost its place in the world.

Samsung Q1 is Official in Australia NZ

I am excited to bring you the news that the Q1 one is Officially here. Tegatech Australia has today announced a partnership with Samsung Australia - Q1 Ultra Mobile PC Officially available! For me personally the lead up to this event has been UMPC making history in Australia, and is the turning of a new age for this region. Earlier this year I was regrettably told that Australia was not earmarked at all for the Q1, so upon hearing the news of its Official Availability I was absolutely rapt for the Aussie lovers of this gear!

Tegatech Australia Official Partner of Samsung Q1

In a partnership seen as strategic as much as anything else Samsung Australia today gave Official Distribution rights to Australias only Tablet PC Distributor, Tegatech. This means that Australia now has an "Aussie Q1" with specifications outlined in the spec sheet provided today.[Q1 in AUstralia]

Not only did the Q1 go live today but so did all the matching accessories - I cant wait to get the car kit and keyboard stuff! Given that the Q1 was the "Original" Origami (touted on all Samsung sites as the Worlds first UMPC) it warms me inside to know that Australia will now have exposure. As you all know Ive owned one for some time and it still is arguably the sexiest off all the UMPC available on the market. Cant wait to see what Australia thinks...

A copy of the Official Press Release:

      FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Samsung Australia selects Ultra Mobile PC Partner
Distributor Tegatech Australia gets Official Approval for Samsung Q1

Sydney, September 29th, 2006 – Tegatech Australia, a leader in the Ultra Mobile PC space, has today been given Official approval to distribute the Samsung Q1 to its channel of Authorised Resellers. In a move seen as strategic for Samsung the new partnership is designed to leverage off of Tegatech Australia’s key focus in the region – the Tablet.

“Our commitment to Distributing Tablet PC hardware in Australia and NZ has brought us to this point,” said a Tegatech representative. “We’re excited about the role and are placing as many resources available to ensure its success. The fact that the role has been given to us almost exclusively is a huge plus.”

Meanwhile Samsung is reported to be pleased with the decision as the Q1 Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) still remains a fairly misunderstood product within the industry. Given the penetration that Tegatech Australia has in the Tablet PC market, Samsung is looking to leverage off of that and establish a solid presence for the Q1 device.

Tegatech has held key talks with National Sales Manager for Samsung Australia, Joe Serra, and is pleased with the outcomes. While Tegatech will not have access to much of the Samsung IT range Mr. Serra has asked for a concentrated focus from Tegatech towards the Q1 and the Reseller Channel.

“We understand the product and have a growing channel of Authorised Tablet PC Resellers with proven track records; they are innovative and proactive with their solutions. The Q1 not only provides a pleasant user experience but it can increase productivity too,” Tegatech said. “With our commitment to the Resellers, and the Samsung Q1, we can help ensure that UMPC is in fact a success downunder.”

      About Tegatech Australia

Tegatech Australia is the only Tablet PC specific Distributor in the Australia/NZ marketplace. By focusing so heavily on the Tablet PC form factor Tegatech has enhanced the Reseller experience via a commitment to training and support. Close ties to Microsoft creates a synergy that allows resellers to grow and enhance their presence in the Tablet space.

Established in 2003 Tegatech is now seen as a market leader in the Tablet PC arena. By targeting resellers-only Tegatech has grown from strength-to-strength. Via strategic reseller partnerships that focus on vertical markets, and the corporate sectors, Tegatech is creating a groundswell of interest. Current Tablet successes include the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), National Australia Bank (NAB), TAB Corp and more.

Hugo in Europe and still an MVP

Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good Evening folks!
Many of you I know have been sending me comments, emails and pinging me non-stop with regards to my whereabouts. I am pleased to say that I am still on Holiday (in fact I extended my Holiday a little) and am pleasantly cruising through Europe! I have not put pen to paper (or finger to keyboard) for the blog for some time so today when I got an email from Microsoft I thought it a prime opportunity.
      Here is what I received:

      Dear Hugo Ortega,

Congratulations! We are pleased to present you with the 2008 Microsoft® MVP Award! The MVP Award is our way of saying thank you for promoting the spirit of community and enhancing people’s lives and the industry’s success every day. Your extraordinary efforts in Windows - Tablet PC technical communities during the past year are greatly appreciated.

SO how are thing you may ask? Things are just great. I am with my wife and kid and we are travelling see friends and family. We have a “home base” in a little apartment we rented in Eastern Europe and spend our time travelling in and out of the car park using a 1988 Mercedes Benz a good friend was kind enough to loan me. Apart from dealing with the traffic concerns, and the fact that everyone drives on the wrong side of the road, the journey has been effortless.

With regards to Tablet PC and Ultra Mobile PC you will be pleased to know that as always I am travelling loaded. Before I left I bought a Toshiba R400 and knew that that was going to be my fulltime inking device. Ironically as I left the front door I grabbed an OQO 02 and just before Taxi pulled out of the driveway I ducked back in and grabbed a Samsung Q1U-V.

The response to these devices everywhere I have been is amazing. Europe has so little exposure to these it surprises me and almost makes me feel like everything is new again. The first few weeks I spent showing the R400 and its massive array of capabilities. People always flip when they here is packs 4GB of Ram (although it only sees 3.319 GB). As soon as I flip the screen there is an instantaneous gasp of excitement and adults and kids alike become filled with new drawing capabilities. Kids sketch using InkArt, while adults write using OneNote; either way the response to Digital Ink is overwhelmingly positive.

The OQO has been a clear success. It smaller size and neater form-factor makes people question the entire concept of a desktop at all. Given that most the folks I am visiting are buying desktops for the first time then something like an OQO absolutely fries their brain – and that is a good thing! The Samsung Q1U seems to be the one all the University kids want. With its camera capabilities and it ability to relate to all media formats it seems as though the Q1U also has a home here.

I will start to blog again as I have missed you all. I thank you for your readership and promise you as much fun and play as ever.

Whats in my Gadget Bag for China

I’m literally off to China in the morning (+7hrs from this post which is meant to include sleep). I have been invited to partake in some Vista Labs held at Microsoft Office in Beijing and am lucky enough to be part of a delegation made up of 25 MVPs and/or Global Leaders.

The main reason I have not packed anything other than my Gadget Bag is YOU, of course. Here’s a video of what I’m taking. It’s rough but it will detail a portion of what’s coming along, a why.

The cool thing is that this video responds to the call-out by certain bloggers to show us “What’s in your gadget bag.” So if you want to join in just let us know that youve done it and we’ll point traffic your way. Here are some examples I followed:

      • Russle Beattie
      • Craig Pringle
      • GottaBeMobile
      • SumoCat
      • JKonTheRun

      • Neil Turner
      • Xeni (Gixmodo)

      And the Numbers Are In

Just yesterday, IDC released numbers for Q3 sales of tablets around the globe. As expected, those numbers were very good and as expected, a good percentage of them were iPads. Specifically, the numbers show that Apple made up nearly 90% of all tablets sold in the quarter with 4.2 million sales (of 4.8 million total shipments).

Of course, that’s the not the number I’m most interested in. The final numbers for total shipments in 2010 is expected to be roughly 17 million (once Q4 numbers are finalized) and a lot of those will be iPads for sure (though the Galaxy Tab made a nice run at the end of last year). But, it’s the prognostication for 2011 and 2012 that really draws my attention. IDC has pegged the 2011 market to be somewhere in the vicinity of 44 million tablets with 2012 expected to sell more than 70 million.

Of course, no one company could maintain numbers like that alone. Just like with the smartphone market which saw a huge surge in popularity with the iPhone, but ultimately gained most after Android was released, the tablet market looks ready to explode on the precipice of a widespread Android 3.0 rush.

It’s not just Android and manufacturers like Motorola and Asus that are pushing the market, however. Yes, Apple will have a new iPad available soon – probably in April – and it will likely sport at least 80% of the upgrades that Apple’s customer base has been driving for (the usual almost everything upgrade). But, there are also newcomers slated to hit the market soon, including RIM with their Playbook, HP with WebOS, and the newest versions of MeeGo. Windows tablets are still a tossup with third party extension being absolutely necessary at this point to drive any kind of innovation in those devices, but even so, by the time 2012 rolls around, we might be looking at the first Windows 8 tablets.

It’s amazing to see the growth we’ve seen in only the last 9 months. A year ago we were prognosticating that the tablet market might take off any time and Apple’s new device seemed like a tossup – it could be popular…or it could be a flop. And yet, with the iPad wedging open a new market and millions of consumers turning their attention to this burgeoning market, we are getting ready to enter a completely new era in mobile technology and personal devices.

I’m interested to see where it leads us – not just in sales numbers (these companies could sell anything), but in the actual real world uses of those products. How will they impact our lives in the two or three years to come and how will they affect the way business gets done? Those are the questions I am most excited to have answered.
